FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Here at Roly-Poly in Clovelly we are focussed on providing the highest level of care and education for each and every child.

Our learning environment expands beyond Science and Language programs. By encouraging our children at Roly-Poly to be creative thinkers and problem solvers, and by combining both emergent and structured learning environments, we are meaningfully engaging children in experiences that promote their desire for learning.

Children use these skills to explore an environment that supports the development of positive relationships and nurtures each individual’s sense of belonging, being and becoming.

Do you run a Pre-School or are you a Long Day Care service?

Roly-Poly has run a well respected Pre-School and School Readiness Program for many years within the convenience of Long Day Care hours. While many people think of academics (e.g. recognising colours, writing their name, counting to 10), as important school readiness skills, our philosophy of school readiness actually refers to a much broader range of skills required to help optimal learning when children start school. We also encourage and promote these skills in our Nursery and Toddler’s rooms. In addition to the academic basics, school readiness skills also include self care, emotional regulation, language skills, play and social skills, attention and concentration as well as physical skills.

Do you buy food from an external provider or is food cooked onsite?

Our menu has been designed by experts in children’s nutrition and our meals are made fresh in our kitchen by our excellent chefs.

When will you open?

We are aiming to be open in October/November, subject to the building program remaining on track and our license being granted within that timeframe.
